The confirmed total India biz of the film stands at Rs. 72.50 Cr shows boost on Republic Day as per the tweet of trade analyst Taran Adarsh, “#Airlift Fri 12.35 cr, Sat 14.60 cr, Sun 17.35 cr, Mon 10.40 cr, Tue 17.80 cr. Total: ₹ 72.50 cr. India biz. Speeding towards ₹ 100 cr. FAB!”

The movie first showed the increment in the collection from opening day to Sunday. As the Monday is the working day for almost all, so the business dropped minimally but the day ended up with decent amount making a total 1st-weekend collection to be Rs. 44.3 Cr.

On 26th of January, The Republic Day was the national holiday in the country. And the movie is also all about the bravery of Indian commercial pilots which is of big honor for the nation and the strong words of mouth boosted the performance and the day ended with 17.80 Cr. This will make the movie cross the 100 Cr mark in coming 2-3 days.

Directed by Raja Krishna Menon, the movie will definitely beat some highest grosser of the year 2015 such as “Baby”, “Welcome Back”, “Singh Is Bling”, and “Gabbar Is Back”. And it seems like this year, the lead actor will create a new history in Bollywood industry and will manage his position in the top 5 highest grosser of the year.

Last year, the #1 highest grosser position of 2015 was affirmed by Salman Khan’s “Bajrangi Bhaijaan” and the #3 was for the Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s “Bajirao Mastani” which created a history by beating Shah Rukh Khan’s “Dilwale”.
