Mark McCloskey and Patricia McCloskey, a St. Louis democrat couple pointed an Ar-15 rifle at the protesters who were walking around their house on June 28. The video of two pointing a semi-automatic rifle at 4472 Lindell blvd, Missouri Bar, St. Louis went viral on Twitter earlier today. The married couple walked out of their home and started clearing off the protesters surrounding their home with a gun.

However, the videos shared on Twitter do not show people trespassing the Mark & Patricia McCloskey property while protesting for the resignation of St. Louis Mayor Lyda Krewson. The Mayor, main target of the protest, has not yet commented on the incident.

Later on, a video surfaced depicting people passing by a pedestrian gate which stated “private street,” “no trespassing” and “access limited to residents.” But the eyewitnesses have said that the protesters were calm and they did not hinder the couple’s place “Midwestern palazzo.”

Mark McCloskey, 63, pointed an AR-15 while his wife Patty McCloskey, 61, held a handgun on the bystanders. A video, now deleted, showed Patricia holding the handgun at passing protesters and wearing a T-shirt which read, “Hold up, Don’t shoot.”

St. Louis police have not released any statement regarding the incident – whether the investigation is being held or not. Meanwhile, netizens are demanding a thorough investigation on Mark and Patricia McCloskey and asking the police to arrest the couple ASAP!

According to BuzzFeed News, a St. Louis police report favours the McCloskeys and identifies the duo as the victims. It also stated that the couple had called the police firsthand.

Angry Mark McCloskey and Patricia McCloskey jumped out of their expensive home to remove the protesters hindering their peace, they could be heard yelling “Private property! Get out! Private property, get out!” Patty also yells at the bystanders to immediately clear the street.

In the meantime, several people asked Mark and Patricia McCloskey to “Calm down, Call the cops, and it’s a public street.” Well, the place where the couple lives state that it’s private property but it is not clear whether the city police allows pulling out weapons at the crowd.

The motive of people protesting was to question the St. Louis Mayor Krewson who recently revealed names and addresses of the protesters asking to suspend the state’s police during a FB live interview.

During the live interaction, Krewson mentioned, “I would like to apologize for identifying individuals who presented letters to me at City Hall as I was answering a routine question during one of my updates earlier today. While this is public information, I did not intend to cause distress or harm to anyone. The post has been removed and again, I sincerely apologize.”

  1. Good job reporting a more believable telling of that whole incident. From the news most thinking people had to realize that there was more to the story and thank you for telling it.
