Stargirl initially released on the 8th May 2020, it aired first on DC Universe and then on the CW. Geoff Johns first published Stargirl comic book in 1999 as a tribute. It was inspired by his sister, who died in an airplane crash in 1996. He is now serving as the executive producer and the creator of the show.

The show received a positive response and gained the right amount of viewership. Around 1 million people were tuning into the series, per episode. The viewership has been pretty good so far, and it is no surprise that the show’s makers have renewed it for season two.

Since the show has been renewed, Will it continue to air on DCU and then CW? What will the plot be? Who will be starring? Let’s find out everything we know so far.

Who will be in Stargirl season 2 cast?

As the first season has not concluded, it is hard to predict who will be back for the second season. However, we are expecting to see Brec Bassinger in the titular role as Stargirl/Courtney Whitmore. We may see Luke Wilson as Pat Dugan, Amy Smart as Barbara Whitmore, Yvette Monreal as Yolanda Montez, aka Wildcat, Anjelika Washington as Beth Chapel aka Dr. Mid-Nite, Trae Romano as Mike Dugan and Cameron Gellman as Rick Tyler aka Hourman. It is unknown if there will be any new additions.

What will be the plot of Stargirl season 2?

The show revolves around a sophomore year student Courtney Whitmore, whose life turns around when her mother marries Pat Dugan. They all move in together with his son Mike Dugan to Blue Valley, Nebraska. She soon starts recruiting people into her new Justice Society of America and inspires a group of young heroes to defeat the villains of the past.

Since Stargirl is going to CW, there is also a possibility of crossovers from Arrowverse. Geoff Johns mentioned that it might happen at some point, and it seems like it will be sooner rather than later. As the show has just been renewed, not much has been revealed. The first season is still on-air, and it is hard to predict what will happen next. We may hear more about it in a few months. However, we will update you as soon as any new piece of information emerges.

Is there a trailer for Stargirl season 2?

As of now, the show has not begun its production. We may get to see some glimpses once the shoot starts. If we are to guess, the trailer may not be out until 2021. However, you can check the trailer for season one below.

How many episodes are there in Stargirl season 2?

We may get to see at least eight episodes in season 2. Although it is uncertain as the show is now shifted to CW, we may see more episodes. I guess we will know when any information comes out. The runtime for the show will be around 42 minutes.

You can stream the first season on the DC universe.

When will Stargirl season 2 release? Premiere Date

So far, the release date of the show has not been specified. The first season is yet to finish. We may hear more about it once its first season concludes. But, one confirmed thing is that the second season of Stargirl will exclusively air on the CW. It may come as bad news for many.

Although it is questionable whether the show will continue making the same quality content, it has been observed that the show on CW was shorter than the on DCU. While this is not a new thing for DC, they have moved their several projects onto different Networks.

It will be interesting to see how all of this pans out for Stargirl in the future. Will it be the same, or will things change. Let us know your thoughts on this.
